And I ponder…

I discovered the concept of time – *Kairos and Chronos and its relationship with Eternity a while ago. Since then I have been fascinated by these three concepts as they relate to my faith in an Eternal God who invites his finite creations to experience the unimaginable vastness of eternal life through belief in His Son Jesus, by a way made for us through the shedding of His blood to cover the eternal span of life in and with God through Himself. I thought that the simple discovery of this truth would catapult me into that rarefied realm of seeing, touching and interacting with the unseen, but I was stumped (and rightly so) by my failure to apprehend the reality of The truth that God Himself had allowed me to understand… Why was this the case? Why could I not just begin to experience eternal life ‘prime time’ because of the fact that I now ‘know The Truth’? This lack of experience began to bother me to the extent of wanting to shame my faith in God, but I knew that knew that I knew that what I knew was The truth. So if it is The truth that *Kairos, Chronos and Eternity exist in this mystically and nebulously yet as to be attained relationship, why am not as a ‘new creation’ living in the everyday reality of this ‘new life’?

Laying down on my bed today and thinking about how I want to be more, see more and do more with my life, I realized The Truth that GOD IS SOVEREIGN! He is eternal, unending, unseen, unapproachable in light, infinite in knowledge and wisdom yet He does not hide Himself from us. The truth that He shows us is not the Revelation of fact unto apprehension, it is the knowledge of fact unto SEEKING… God does not desire scholars, He desires children, He does not respect pompous ‘know-it-allism’, and He embraces child-like faith. So how do my pontifications tie into the Truth of eternal life? Eternal life is God’s to give and to gift, and He has given us its entirety through Christ Jesus. We however would not be able to survive even a moment of eternity undiluted if He does not guide us through this ‘knowing’ by the application of faith with which He has gifted us with, so that in reaching out with yearning hearts He can infuse eternity into our day to day lives through portals of immeasurable *Kairos moments without breaking the cadence of time, but rather maximizing moments, expanding and contracting time, elevating and pulling down Kingdoms, compressing and unzipping gifts, needs and desires in time, in a totally contradictory and overriding manner by only that which He can do and undo by His Power… The Word Himself. *Kairos is ‘Thy Kingdom come’; *Kairos is ‘Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven’. *Kairos is Heaven and God’s Kingdom invading Earth!
So my prayer today is not only that I know The Truth, but that I receive the gift of Faith to step into The Truth.

◄ Ephesians 2:8 ►
For it is by his grace that we have been saved through faith, and this faith was not from you, but it is the gift of God.
Yes, faith is the gift. So even though we get wisdom and with all our getting we get understanding, the only way to enter into the realm of The Maximus is by Faith infused through *Kairos moments – That which only God Himself gifts us with.

◄ Psalm 90:12 ►
Teach us the number of our days that we may enter the heart of wisdom.

*Kairos (καιρός) is an ancient Greek word meaning the right or opportune moment (the supreme moment). The ancient Greeks had two words for time, chronos and kairos. While the former refers to chronological or sequential time, the latter signifies a time lapse, a moment of indeterminate time in which everything happens. What is happening when referring to kairos depends on who is using the word. While chronos is quantitative, kairos has a qualitative, permanent nature. Kairos also means weather in both ancient[citation needed] and modern Greek. The plural, καιροί (kairoi (Ancient Gk. and Mod. Gk.)) means the times.
In rhetoric kairos is “a passing instant when an opening appears which must be driven through with force if success is to be achieved.”
In the New Testament kairos means “the appointed time in the purpose of God”, the time when God acts (e.g. Mark 1.15, the kairos is fulfilled). Kairos (used approximately 81 times in the NT) seems to be an indeterminate time, a “moment” or a “season,” whereas another Greek term chronos (used 54 times) refers to a specific amount of time, such as a day or an hour (Acts 13.18, 27.9, etc.).
And if you understood what I wrote above, then you need as much help as I do… So help us God!

Happy Mothers Week:

To all women who deliberately get fat for a season and a reason, who allow aliens to invade their lives for a the space of a lifetime. To women whose first and last names are Mommeeee! and to those wonderful creatures who can look at a specimen of humanity having a tantrum, and say "isn't she cute"! To the un-ordained ministers of prayer over our lives... To the ones whose perfume remind us of home-cooked meals and happy times... The ones who kissed our hurts and then whupped our butts... To those creatures who cried uncontrollably at our graduations and embarrassed us when the first boy came home... To my mother who is LOVED by her daughters-in law and called blessed by ALL her children... For all of us mothers out there... We start out the week celebrating... Happy Mothers week!

The Spirit speaks from the depths to the deep...

The Spirit speaks from the depths to the deep, pulls from the depths to the deep, and raises from the depths to the deep. And how He does that, as He broods and waits; For The Voice to speak His Word - "Let there be Light"... And there was.

He is the shell that protects!

I dreamt a dream today. I was standing in the midst of a large number of people. We were having Bible study based on Hebrews chapter 3. We had gone through chapters 1 and 2. The gathering was vibrant made up of people of all ethnicities and varied backgrounds. During the course of the study I stood up to make a contribution and this is what I said: When we go through adverse situations and the conditions seem very ‘hot’ and unpleasant we think that we have to get out of the situation quickly or pray for a quick deliverance. However, sometimes the unpleasant and unfavorable situations around us are orchestrated to change us in a way as to make us more useful for the Masters use. I used the analogy of an egg dropped in boiling water. Boiling water to an egg surely must not be pleasant and if that egg (assuming had a will of its own) asked to be taken out before it was cooked it would not be well done. However, the heating, the agitation, and the boiling of the water all work to alter the inner constitution of the egg so that when the shell is broken and exposed the elements, it does not collapse and create a runny mess, but keeps its form, its integrity, and its consistency.
As I was speaking, it was like the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart in the dream and said, "the shell always protects the egg while being boiled. In much the same way, the Lord protects you while you are going through adverse circumstances so that you do not fall apart during the process. And remember it is he who is preparing the meal that puts the egg on the fire to cook it.”
Wow! What an encouragement to me and hopefully for someone out there.

May this be our third day!

I was sitting at home just ruminating one day, when this question came to me: why did Jesus Christ rise from the dead on the third day. Why not the first, why not on the second, why third day? The Spirit of God spoke this answer to my heart, and I immediately got what He was saying - He said to me, “Go to the third day”. So I opened up my Bible to the book of Genesis chapter 1 and went to the third day, and what I read excited me so much, I couldn’t sit still!

Genesis 1:11-13

And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth:, and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day.

He said to me: “In the process of creation, on the first day I caused light to 'be'. On the second day, I created the heavens, and on the third day I created the earth. The third day was when I made what was created in heaven,  come up from the earth”.

“The third day was when I caused every plant in the earth to come up as grass, herb producing seed, and fruit, yielding fruit after it’s kind and whose seed is in itself!”

Psalm 104:14

He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;

And then it brought up also fruit after it’s kind, whose seed was in itself, and all this was on the third day!

Genesis 1:29

And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

Jesus said:

John 12:24

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides alone: but if it die, it brings forth much fruit.

Mark 4:26-27

And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knows not how.

So what does this have to do with when Jesus rose from the dead? Well this is what I believe the Holy Ghost was telling me:

On the third day, Jesus in the form of a seed, (who if he had not been planted would have been the only Son of God) came up from the ground on the third day. As grass providing our daily need for sustenance, causing us to have seed that is available for sowing, and also as fruit, enabling us to reproduce after our kind. Just as Jesus produced sons after God’s kind when He rose ON THE THIRD DAY!

He is the grass that feeds us:

Psalm 23:2

He makes me lie down in green pastures.

He went into the ground i.e. he died alone. He then came up as a seed - with us, the church in him. Seed, having the capacity to reproduce children of God after his own likeness, who in turn have the capacity to bring forth children after the likeness of our heavenly father hallelujah!

ALL  THIS HAPPENED ON THE THIRD DAY!

When we take a look at the meaning of resurrection, we find that it means - The act of rising from the dead or returning to life.

So on the third day seed in this instance - Jesus, who had died, was buried  came up from a dead state was brought to life by The Holy Ghost from life unto life unto life!

Jesus said I am come that you may have life and have it more abundantly – Life unto life unto life - ON THE THIRD DAY!

So my prayer for us all today is this:

May this be our THIRD DAY.
May this be the day that everything that was dead and buried in the ground, in our lives brings forth life for propagation after our kind, BY THE POWER OF GOD’S WORD.

May we like Jesus, be planted and may we like Him be resurrected on this our third day.

May this be our third day, AND IT WAS SO!

◄ John 11:25 ►
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Jesus said unto you (whoever you are), I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

What happened on the fourth day?  Hmmm, that's for a day soon to come.

Shalom,
