Lord please help our generation of believers to realize and walk in the realization that salvation comes only through meeting Jesus and following Him and not through going to church and following the traditions of singing, liturgy and congregation membership... It used to be that people asked if you had accepted Jesus to be your Lord and savior, now it's about which 'church' you attend.... Witnessing used to be everyone's commission (Oh the days of bus preaching...) now it's about inviting people to 'church' by handing out cute invitation cards to come in on Sunday, so that they can get to hear the 'powerful' preacher and the Goosebumps inducing songs and confusing tongues, it's now more of a "come so that we can solve your problems", rather than "come so that you can get to know God and cause problems for the devil"... My fellow BELIEVERS it is time to retrace the ancient landmarks, where the ultimate was getting to know Jehovah, and not getting 'plugged in' to a local assembly line of parrotters... WE are THE CHURCH! We are His body, WE ALL have been called to go into the world to preach THE GOSPEL, not (I will shock you now) to feed the poor, or build church buildings, but to HEAL THE SICK, RAISE THE DEAD AND PREACH "The Kingdom of God is at hand!" but friend to do this you must first ask? What is the Kingdom of God for he who does not know and fully understand what he believes, how can he show and tell of it to another... Hmmm Food for thought this weekend as we retire from the workweek to rest... God bless us all! And for you out there who do not know Jesus or know of His Kingdom, I invite you today to come know the eternal King who left His eternal Kingdom because of His love for mankind, so that through believing and having a personal relationship with Him we can come into HIS ETERNAL Kingdom and thus not perish as all things in this present world will, but have ETERNAL LIFE, qualitatively and quantitatively... He came that we may have LIFE and that more abundantly!
THIS is the heartbeat of my God!

'Biter' or a 'Ruminator'?

Are you a 'Biter' or a 'Ruminator'?

Who is a biter? A biter is one who (in this context), takes an excerpt or fragment from something larger leaving the majority of the substance behind, and in the same vein of setting a ruminator is someone who turns a matter over and over in the mind usually to reach a decision that will produce results.

This question posed came to mind a few months ago and got me thinking about my ’Word life.' I have been a Pentecostal Christian for a few years now, but recently the Lord began bringing it to my attention that although I heard and regurgitated a lot of bible verses and promises I had heard from pastors, teachers, etc. Over the years, I have been for most of my Christian life, a biter and not a ruminator. What do I mean by this?   Well, let’s take a little walk down the hall of faith…

You’ve got to hold on...

‘You’ve got to hold on’

Sometimes it’s hard
When you can’t see the end in sight
But you keep on telling yourself
‘You’ve got to hold on’

Sometimes …
Even when you have all the answers
Still nothing seems to add up
You keep telling yourself
‘You’ve got to hold on’

When friends have gone,
And silence reigns
The rustle of the leaves
The whisper of the wind
Softly echoes the refrain
‘Child You’ve got to hold on’

By the skin of your teeth,
By the seat of your pants
Through stormy gale,
And fiery furnace
I am with you...
So yes! ‘You’ve got to hold on’

‘Cos when all’s said and done
The curtain’s been drawn
When the night has passed
And the tears have dried
I promise you this my child
I promise you that you will look back
Down the passage of time
And the words, the encore
That will resonate in your heart:
Thank God the one who said to my soul
Don’t give up; don’t give in;
You’ve got to hold on’

If you are holding on, don’t give up!
If you are hoping, don’t give up hope!
If you are believing, don’t give up believing!
For your weeping may endure for a night
But in the morning, joy will come,
Again I say, ‘You’ve got to hold on…’

Psalm 30:5
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life;
Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

I have been feeling burdened, scared for no great reason, saddened and unsettled... Initially I thought that it was a all because of some dealings that I was going through, but today The Lord spoke to my heart, letting me understand that my feelings are not all about me; That somewhere out there right now there are two hundred plus girls and many more unnamed and unseen, who are also feeling burdened, scared, saddened, unsettled. Who are hurting not for things they have done, but for things done to them... I realize that know them or not, I share there their burden, I share their pain, I share their hurt... But as I also look up to Jehovah Jireh - The Lord who has seen, my assurance and hope is that I will also share in their joy, their freedom and their victory as The Lord rises, mighty in battle, to recover ALL that was stolen... IBelieve!!!

Let there be life!

Words too heavy to utter
Burdens I just don’t want anymore to bear
Hurts buried, deep beyond expression
Thoughts that make the heart go hmmmm…

Valley of the shadow of death; Bright sunshiny day,
None seem to matter, round and round I go

Such are the times, such the seasons,
When the voice is but a silent scream,
Unheard but by one;
Only He whom can my change bring.

Rise up, reach down, lift up my soul I pray
Unto solid ground from the miry clay
Bring home, Bring on, Bring back
The glory, which thought long gone
I know that I know is still alive…

Vote of my agony please rescind,
Dry my tears that I weep no more,
Let life spring forth from the watery grave
That soaked my grief, Lord let there be life!
The voice of freedom again, to ring and resound…

Spot the difference By Mettabel Okulaja

I am sure we have all played this game at one point in time or the other in which we are presented with two pictures (usually in a magazine) that are seemingly identical at first glance, but with which we have to spot differences that distinguish them. Some of the differences in those instances were usually easy to place, but a few would defy Discovery except by the extremely astute observer. The amazing thing about these games was that except for the fact that the question was raised as to the point as to whether the two images were identical or not, one maybe very well prone to assume that the two images were identical.  And even if they were identical, the suggestion that they were not would make one or look for differences where there were actually none.

Thanking God for this wonderful opportunity... If you'll be in the Newmarket Ontario area this summer, come join us for a time of refreshing, fellowship and fun... We were created for awesomeness!

The Church:

Must divorce itself from the mindset that large numbers rather than those numbered, is the the ultimate goal.

Must divorce itself from the mindset of a full bank account at the risk of an empty soul.

Must divorce itself from mindless cacophony and enter into contemplative and mindfully meditative intercourse with the Most High...

Must divorce itself from milquetoast homogeneity, and determine to stand and fight for the Kingdom, even to the death...

All this and more, we can do, must do and will do, as we will to do according to His will...

The Spirit of God is our helper... Selah.

He who will apprehend his destiny is he who will dare to 'see' and do, according to the possibility that is concealed by the mirage of impossibility... Selah.

When you feel that you have come to the end of the road and there's nothing else to do, don't look down, LOOK UP! For the child of God, There will always be a ram in the bush!

◄ Genesis 22:13 ►
And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold BEHIND him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

Note that the ram was BEHIND him not in front of him, and he maybe did not see it because he had been looking down!

As long as you look up, there will always be a ram in the bush, which humanly speaking may be the most unlikely of places, but you let him worry about that!

* Yes, has not God said,
  “Fear not, for I am with you;
  I will help you.
  Yea, I will strengthen you.
  Yea, I will uphold you
  By My mighty right hand”?

  Fear not!
  There is hope!
  Do not look down;
  Do not despair.
Square your shoulders; lift your chin up high,
Knowing that He is your glory and the One who lifts your head,
Knowing that He will never fail you, nor forsake you,
Knowing that He is with you, and you will win--
 Always...
